I think Feliciano is one of those characters who really needs to be looked at closely. Alfred too, for that matter, but he's a bit more common than N. Italy.

I couldn't help but tear up while reading this. It's so bittersweet; the story between HRE and Italy always pains me. A very nice little piece of work--I love the short inserts of Italy's thoughts you included here and there.

I don't think people give enough attention to our Veneziano.. I really, really feel like there's a lot more to him than meets the eye, and so I'm always so happy to see things like this. ♥

Thank you!! I almost cried while I was writing this, and so I'm glad I'm not the only one. This pairing is pretty sad, even with all of it's happy moments, because of the tragic ending.

Agreed; people never take the time to dig deep enough into Feli's character, which is why I wanted to try this type of character based fic.

I absolutely adored the depth here. And the way you told it, it just really sounded like the inside of Italy's head, to me. And it was just heartbreaking.

I also really loved how you wrote Germany, there at the end, and the Holy Roman Empire.

Just a stand-out effort, all around, really.
