Yes, the dishes will always be there and that's what paper plates are for. Besides, get the Mr and the Boy to help out. Enjoy the new freedom of your laptop. The thought of being without mine brings chills running up and down my spine.

Had to laugh at your reaction to the 23 yr old. I got married at 23 and I think my mom would rather have been saying, "Dammit kid would you quit making me bail you out of jail," than plan my wedding. B was not exactly a parents' dream - nearly 17 years older, divorced, father of four, and an alcoholic. Gee, I really know how to pick'em, don't I? LOL! Be glad your girl is subbing and knitting; she can't get pregnant or thrown in jail for either of those activities.

I can already tell that I will be frantic without it :-)

As for you and B, I think you've done a good job of making it work :-)

well, we're talking some major issues, like electrical and plumbing...stuff where it just isn't feasible to have a short-term plan. this is an ooooold house and we haven't really been able to do any improvements and we've lived here 10 years now. so it's time.
