Shingo: "This year is the 20th anniversary of SMAP's CD debut. Even in my wildest dream, I didn't think that we would continue for 20 years. But, now, my dream is to be SMAP in the next 20 years."

I was just searching around to add something to Nakai-kun birthday post on nakaiaday, but after reading your entry, I thought I added this here too, hope you wont mind
It's from 1999 FNS27h Tv end, when Kimura-Goro-Tsuyoshi-Shingo sing this song to Nakai, when I see moment like this I always feel their bond is really something awesome, and I could just wish I had friends like this : )

thank you :) I watched this clip once before (you uploaded it at smapxmedia, right?) I know what you mean, I also wish I could have a friend that I can say to the world: "As long as that friend is with me, I'm okay." Whenever I heard the members say so, I would feel so moved, but the same time I felt jealous with SMAP.

Reading your post, I feel so touched. That's true, when knowing that Nakai-kun even didn't know Kimura'kun's phone number, I used to feel sad b.c i thought they are not close. However, later, I learn that long term mutual relationship is not about that. IT's about understanding and support the other when they are in need. Right, SMAP is like family and friendship <3

One thing i love about SMAP is about their friendship. They never left anything behind, even Mori. And there's always mention other member name when they were alone. But i think even with best friend, sometimes they need a space alone, so i think that's why they don't have other cellphone number (or maybe it just a guy thing XD)

Got teary eyed with this! I always picture Shingo saying he'll be SMAP 20, 30, 50 years. It's funny thinking about what they went through and standing strong until now. Some people might say, even the members themselves that they aren't together most of the time. But I think they actually are together. First there's SXS. They have this long-standing show which serves like a home where they could hang out. Then there's their music and music-related-projects and the rest of the countless projects they've had. Having all these made their relationship strong that even without them seeing eye to eye, they know about each other. ^^

I totally agreed with you. What you said reminded that in interviews, members always refer SxS as their home, which I found very heart-warming :D
