Home Depot is having a women's only painting workshop? I'm trying and completely failing to come up with any conceivable way that's not sexist and saying "women can't paint, hurr hurr derp derp". I'll believe that's necessary when I actually meet a man who corrects his roller marks, because none of them seem capable of this-- even the two male professionals I've hired to paint rooms.
I see it more like Curves - a comfortable environment for women who feel intimidated/uncomfortable/etc. around men, and a statement that they believe women can do home improvement projects too. I think they're trying to broaden what they see as a mostly male customer base. Most of their classes are unisex. And it also didn't actually say "women only, men not welcome". It's just called a Do-it-Herself workshop, and I am making assumptions that may or may not be true.
So I suppose it totally depends upon your point of view.
