This is going to sound incredibly elitist on my part, and I seriously don't mean to be, but why did you choose Chinese/Japanese symbols, and are you sure they mean what you think they mean? Because a LOT of the time, there are mistakes--even one stroke being out of place can totally change the meaning of a hanzi/kanji. I do recognize some of these, but others I'd have to look up, though I don't know if I can verify all of them because they may be in Chinese but not in Japanese

Since I have not taken any lessons in reading the language, no, I am not certain these are correct. I did my best researching them on the internet, but your point is valid, and there is a lot of "fad" art out there that is not correct. I can't be certain who is correct and who isn't, but I did my best to compare 3 dictionaries and 1 fine jewelry store that had a very extensive list. Some symbols were unanimous in their meaning; others I had to go with best 2 out of 3. In many cases, the dictionary had three or more characters or series of characters associated with the same English meaning, so I picked the one that seemed to be most popular
