Recycling and kitties - no, not recycling of kitties!!!

I thought finding kittens to adopt was difficult. Then I tried to sign up for the town's recycling program. Two phone calls, one email, one trip to the town hall, and one fax, and I still have not managed to talk to anyone who can actually sign us up and give us the damn green plastic bins. I like both Zane and Kale, so I don't think you can go wrong, but I still vote for Zane. I think Zane and Zoé would be cute. :)

Did you try petfinder? Or any of the no-kill shelters or even the kill shelters (they don't tend to euthanize kittens anyway, as they have the best chance of adoption over adult cats)? It's been kitten season in the spring, so I'm surprised it's not raining cats and dogs all over.

That's where I started. Problem is that they don't often list the kittens, because they go so quickly it's not worth it. So I've been contacting all the shelters directly. And there are lots of kittens - but for some reason they are almost all black this year. It's bizarre.

The male is coming from PAWS in Wakefield. I've been in contact with Billerica Cat Coalition, Woburn Feral Cats, Metrowest Animal Awareness, we stopped by Pet World but haven't made it there during visiting hours yet, and I haven't heard back from the Waltham shelter yet.
