I wouldn't necessarily suggest you getting something that is just big enough for the two of you, since you never know how things may change years down the road.

What I do hope you will consider is places that are big enough to take in roommates if needed but a place that you could also handle comfortably on your own.

Thirty years is a long time to commit to having the same roommates. Best to have an easy out if it comes down to it.

The roommate thing is temporary. Once tanner is employed permanently and I finished getting my LPC, our finances will increase. At that point, the roomies should be about ready to move on by themselves. And the loan suggestions are based on my income, not including anything elses.

So it leaves us quite a few options if we can find the right house.
