Yes, Dragon Con was fun. Not exactly everything I was expecting, but unexpected things are rather good too! Anyways, its time for the yearly Con In Review!

Torchwood is worth watching, despite it's very rocky start. The writers did get little too happy about the fact they could put sex into the show, and have openly bi characters, and it almost became just a silly show about sex. Then it pulled together, and I have hopes for season 2.

You watched season 1 of new Doctor Who right, and saw Captain Jack Harkness, right? He's in charge of the Torchwood team, and showed back up on DW this past season. I'm not sure how anyone can makes sense of Jack's character without watching both shows, but I suppose it could be done. I *really* hope that Jack's character is noticeably different when he returns to Torchwood in season 2, because very important character things happened to him when he up with the Doctor again. We shall see.

I need to see season three of the New Who, but Patrick and Patricia were saying what they saw of Torchwood was rather fun and good. So I'll probably steal both the new season and Torchwood from them. Really need to get into it. Still trudging my way back through Buffy and we're planning a Firefly marathon at the shop. Woot.

Oh, Torchwood does get quite good. One episode made me cry like a little baby. The show just starts out a little on the weak side. And Russell T Davies's (current head writer of DW and creator of Torchwood) finales are a little uneven. Eh.

I think you'll love the Big Bad for season 3 Doctor Who. He's a returning villain from old skool Who, actually, who has always been the Doctor's dark foil. Come to think of it, he's pretty much a crazy ass evil Malkavian, including the Dominate and love of disguises. Good times.
