Hey, cool movies cross all fandom boundaries (I mean, if pressed, I'd say I was more of a Star Wars fan than a Trek fan, but a good movie is a good movie).
True enough, but Trek has always been a "meh" franchise for me. Maybe because it was more technology than mythos oriented? I don't really know, but this is the first movie in its lengthy history I've actually wanted to pay money to see.
Well, some of the ST movies were epically bad, which probably didn't help. :-P
I hope it blows every other movie this summer out of the water (well, maybe except Terminator: Salvation, because I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for that franchise).
Me too! I was all, "oh... eh." Before, like, when it was first announced but now I'm more psyched for it than I ever was for Wolverine (which I'm probably not going to see in favour of seeing Star Trek instead).
The more previews I've seen, the more amped I've gotten.
I didn't hate Wolverine the way a lot of people seem to, but then, I haven't read any of the comics. The man-candy quotient in that movie was good enough for me. ;-)

Loved Next Gen and DS-9, though (although of course the original has always been near and dear to me).
This movie just looks like it frigging rocks!

I mean, I never had a problem with ST, but I've always been a Warsie. But this flick looks freaking sweet.
