Very good idea! I know what you mean about small press becoming a dirty word. Some people lump them with self-published books. Why, I don't know.

You can count me in. I wish I'd thought of this idea. Featured Independent publisher/author. Great idea Christine!

Yep, I've been experiencing the same thing. A lady at the recent zoo event even gave me some literature that "will help self-published" authors.

Geez, BTP books are in PW now, and we've had one reviewd by Kirkus...so you know...we're getting there.

Actually, I think in some circles they are called "Independent" publishers, but still people think that means you are running it out of your garage.

But ya know, even Candlewick started in a bedroom...I heard an editor say it at a conference.
