 Lately I've been feeling very anxious. I think it has to do with the fact that there are three actual working weeks left to this semester (plus the Thanksgiving break), and I have ONE grade from the five projects I've submitted. Maybe it's just me, but when I have heightened anxiety issues, often my house is to blame. Or rather, my lack of housekeeping. And I don't mean dirt, I mean clutter. I've found that as long as I have a couple of clear resting-areas for my eyes in a given room, my anxiety levels diminish dramatically.

Clean up the area around your bed so you aren't seeing clutter first thing in the a.m. and last thing at night. Even if it's just the top of one dresser, it will give your eye a place to rest and you will feel calmer. Weird, but true. It's the little things like that that can make you feel like you have a modicum of control, and they only require you to spend 5-15 minutes each to get them that way. This goes for things like kitchen counters or the top of the TV cabinet and whatnot, too.
