Literary FMLs

Today I was wasting time on Sporcle and came across this quiz: it gives you the plot summaries of famous works of literature -- in FML form -- and you have to guess the titles. It's only fair for me to tell you that the website is incredibly addictive. You've been warned.

I love that quiz!
And I love Sporcle.
I did the quiz yesterday or Wednesday, and I got all but 2. Cracked up at some of them.
How are you, m'dear?

Yay, good for you! :) And I'm doing well, thanks for asking. I'm going on vacation next week, so I'm just trying to hang on until then! How are you doing?

Ooooh, vacation! I hope you have a spectacular time!

I'm ok...lots of lives crashing down around me, but I swear I didn't have anything to do with it! In other words, I'm worried about all my friends, but I'm alright.

*huggles*

Well, I'm only going home to visit my family, but I hope to have a good time. :) I hope things work out with your friends!

Officially got 14/16, but I didn't put "the" in front of "rime of the ancient mariner," so it wasn't counted, so I'm counting it as 15/16. As for the one I missed, who knows about hobbits? I don't know anything about hobbits. Except that they bore me.

PS. What's FML?

Haha, I think it's valid to count the Coleridge. Can't believe you're hating on the hobbits, though - LOTR is one of my favorite books! But, to each his own. :)

FML stands for f*** my life: http://www.fmylife.com/. It's pretty amusing.

Oh, I don't hate hobbits. I think they're delicious.

I've picked up the book any number of times, and every time it's the same--my eyes just skate across the words. I used to think that it was just because I didn't really care for British writing, but over the past few years I've found I really do like British writing...just not Tolkien. There's just no traction there for me.

I caught part of the one of the films on TV, but it didn't hold my interest at all. Guess I'm just not hobbit friendly.

Well, we all have our own tastes -- mine is reading about the hobbits, and apparently yours is eating them!

Great quiz! Quite a little boost to my literary ego for a Saturday morning. Missed the Aeneid because I couldn't remember the darn title (uh, duh ...) and Crime and Punishment because what do I know for Russian? I do know plenty about hobbits though. ;)

I think I missed A Clockwork Orange...was that one of the answers? I can't remember. Anyway, I'd never read it, so I felt justified in missing that one!
