It's funny; I've spent the past few weeks reading required books for my internship, so I was really looking forward to escaping into a novel again. But now I'm reading Carol Berg's Flesh and Spirit, and although I started it several days ago, I'm still only 1/6 of the way through. For some reason, the book just isn't grabbing me. It's not *quite* the typical spy series, but you may enjoy Rhys Bowen's "Her Royal Spyness" series, set in 1930s England/Scotland. I recently read the first novel, Her Royal Spyness, and enjoyed it quite a bit.

^^^Oh and by "not *quite* the typical spy series" I'm saying it's got spy elements crossed with a mystery. There's also a bit of humor, as well. (I think you'll like it.)

Also, didn't Orczy write about 10 different Scarlet Pimpernel books? :-D

Haha, thanks for the rec...I've actually already read the first two Royal Spyness books! They are really fun though. :) As for the Pimpernel books, I'm a little afraid to read them, because the first one was just so good! What if Orczy sold out after that? It would be heartbreaking!

I think it's hard to find a book to rec to you that you *haven't* already read! ;-P

I haven't read any of the Orczy books, so I don't know if she sold out with the later books. But hey, she was a baroness, she didn't need the money, did she? So maybe she kept her literary integrity. :-D

Hooray, have fun reading it! Don't see a movie or read any reviews of the book...they'll spoil it for you. Can't wait to see what you think! :)
