I enjoyed this series...it's not great literature, but I thought it was fun for what it is. It struck me that the last book was much more "final battle" while the others were quest-focused. I think I prefer quests to a book-long fight, but on the other hand, I did enjoy the mythological warfare in Manhattan...

You're right, and I also find the quests more interesting than the battles in most cases.
