One of these days I'm going to have to read this book. I haven't seen a really negative review of this one among the book bloggers I follow. And I am actually NOT a Robin Hood person (I have a similar lack of interest re: King Arthur, Henry VIII. I can't explain it - maybe England + History = me not interested?).

Well, worry not, because I don't think you have to particularly care about the Robin Hood story to enjoy this book. Gaughen basically just uses the story as a jumping-off point, and it reads like any book set in the Middle Ages (or a quasi-medieval fantasy world, come to that). Hope you enjoy the book!
