I never knew this novel was left incomplete. For some odd reason I find incomplete novels intriguing, probably for the same imagine-you-own possibilities that made your stop where Wharton did.

I shall have to try her out soon.

As much as I would have loved to read a version completed by Wharton, I have to admit that I like being able to imagine my own ending for the characters -- especially since my version is probably happier than the one Wharton would have written!
