Great post!

I really really hate that Deanna Raybourn cover. Happily I was able to get the different cover that wasn't a patch on the originals but better than the above. (http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/edition/?isbn=0778303047).

All of the Shopaholic novels suffer from bad covers though such good books.

The UK edition of Juliet (http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/edition/?isbn=0007321864) at least looked a little more Italian.

Thanks! I like your Raybourn cover much better than the one I have...it's not as nice as the original cover for Silent in the Grave, but it's definitely an improvement over Ugly Lace Cover. That Juliet cover is interesting, too -- I kind of like it, but it says "chick lit" to me, whereas the rose cover says more "epic historical fiction and romance."

The sad thing is, I've read and enjoyed all these books (except for Juliet, which is on my TBR list). So I mean no disrespect to the books themselves; they just have heinous covers!

I reversed mine and did 10 covers I love.
I really do agree about the Twilight redesigned classics. Oof.
Also, I have an alternate cover for Rebecca on my "loves" list. The one here embarrasses me when I have to order it for my classes. I have to swear up and down to the guys in the class that it's not a frou-frou romance to get them to even crack it. LOL

Saw your post and really liked it. I'd love to do "10 covers I love" sometime soon! But I thought it was fun to say mean things about some covers too. :)
