That's just pure beauty and loveliness, Michael. I am guilty of stepping into self hatred in this way ... a fault not of my character which I think is solid there, but of my passion. It's like a man who poked his finger and now proceeds to cut it off. But my body is a member of Christ's. Why should I want to cut off a finger of Jesus?

Ouch! I needed this - but you're a little late? I've been stewing on this for a week already! Are you sure you have the Holy Spirit tuned in correctly? You are usually so spot on with my spiritual lessons... ;)

OTOH, maybe I needed to stew for a week to really appreciate the point of this post. You are right. Forget what I said. As you were. (LOL!)

No, that's St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis de Sales was a bishop from the 16th and 17th century, and a Doctor of the Church.

Oh yeah, if I'd had enough sleep I would have remembered that. Toddler sleep battles are draining my brain, both at night AND the next morning, apparently... More caffeine probably won't help, but hey, it's worth a try!
