Let my prayer be counted as incense...

Let my prayer be counted as incense before thee, and the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice! (Psalms 141:2)

Friends, I am going to take a brief hiatus from the internet. With school winding down, and my application process with the Augustinians intensifying, I want time both to concentrate on those things, but also in a special way to ( Read more... )

Great to see a Thomas Merton quote.. I wish you luck in your discernment process. I have two friends in the process for priesthood in the Episcopal Church ( both liberal and conservative).

So, I find you again. And you're a nun in training? How can that be? You argue against my scriptural case not with scripture but with insult.

I could'nt reply to your last comment on LJChristians because I was banned. I was delivered up to council and beaten, for speaking the truth.

This community wouldn't even post that comment on Obama. It's interesting to see those who call themselves Christians but have an aversion to truth.

You know, attacking someone personally on a public forum isn't very nice, especially when they're going to go off for a retreat for two weeks before an important examination. If you had a personal vendetta with him, you should have e-mailed him, and if it was not important enough for you to speak to him directly, you didn't need to throw your tantrum in public.

Uh, HE'S in the process of (possibly) becoming a Catholic priest. Before you get all wound up and attack people out of the blue (and OT) in a post of this nature... just... please!

I really do need to read Merton.

Good luck, my friend, and God bless, and I hope to see you soon. :)

Best wishes that your retreat will bring you the clarity and peace that you seek. May I say that I have enjoyed and benefitted tremendously from your input here and I hope you will make a thoughtful and sympathetic priest.

I'm also taking a break from LJ myself - for the best of reasons! We have another little Anglican due in December! Morning sickness makes me disinclined to spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen unless it is strictly necessary - which this little note to you was, of course.

My thoughts and prayers go with you.
