....They have been in its 8 years existence in Cebu, Philippines and 20 years in Manila.

I will hope to be baptized already by first week of December. But, this isn't really the focus of my post.
I am taking this opportunity to appreciate this church i am in. WHy? well, they have a lot of ministries that really function.

So, I'm glad you found a church that was meeting your needs, but I don't understand why the 20 years of their existence in Manila is significant. The Catholic Church first proclaimed the gospel in the Philippines on Easter Sunday in 1521, and first proclaimed it in Cebu a few weeks later. There were significant, established Christian populations by the 1570s.

My question is not why 487 years doesn't matter to you, it's why 20 years does if they don't.

...My past matters a lot to me. Even way back 5000 years. It matters to me. =) Everything that happened, it mattered. It became my now and something ill always be thankful for, for it lead me to him. That is the most important & most significant really.=)

relevant and working ministries can do a lot of good, and I am glad when I hear of churches actually taking an active part in ministering to others in diverse ways.

I'm always a little disturbed when humanity defines things like sexuality according to their own guidance and beliefs, with what we hope is input from God. Our track record is really lousy.
