I must add I also find it ironic that this talk of heresy predominates when Orthodoxy of the New Calender variety celebrate Sunday of the Holy Fathers.
Whew, I made it. I am fortunately 100% Chalcedon compliant :) I too was 50% Pelagian, though. tutal will likely say that goes along with being Catholic :D Eh, he's probably right...
The particular heresy centers around whether one thinks the sacraments of the church are affected in some way by the Bishops and Priests that administer them. The controversy arose during a time of persecution in North Africa when many Church officials renounced their faith, and what to do with these Church officials after persecutions had subsided.
92% Chalcedon compliant. Not too shabby. Although, I am 75% Plegian and 50% Adoptionist, which is what I thought I might be. Those are what I thought I would be. I was pretty sure that I wasn't going to be a Gnostic from the beginning.
