It's sad, but so often people complain to me about how rich the Catholic Church is and how shameful our history, etc. etc. And they don't realize how much the church does throughout the world. And I know that's not the point of this video...but it's sort of like an added bonus for me.
Also a reminder to turn in my envelope for CRS next time it comes around.
I totally heart CRS. I applied for an internship with them last summer in western Africa. There were only two slots available, and while I didn't get it, they specifically asked me to apply again this year, because for the two who did receive it it was their last chance to apply. Hopefully it goes well this year. I'm also a CRS Fair Trade Ambassador for my school (we're one of I think four universities in the nation who have entered into an official relationship with CRS). I just love the organization, I think they're amazing.
Haha, erm, well it's kinda hard. It's a personal story from Thomas Awiapo, who grew up in Ghana, and about how severe the poverty is there, and how CRS helped him out of it, and all the amazing work that they do throughout the world, and it speaks a bit about his conversion to Christianity, mostly prompted by the efforts of CRS. That sort of thing :)
