I was so excited to read the end of this story, and you wrapped it up beautifully. :D
This line made me grin: "Klunk trotted after him like an orange shadow but got distracted with tackling something on the floor only he could see." It's just so cute (and so true! :) ).
I also loved this as well: "But Mikey flat out refused to move from the couch, curling up against the armrest with a death grip on the TV remote." Such a wonderfully vivid (and relatable :D ) description.
And this had to be my very favorite line: "He could have sworn he hadn't been hungry. "But maybe my stomach had different ideas. I don't know. I haven't had time to talk to it yet.""
Poor Ralph getting it too. It does always seem to work that way with family. Amazing work! :) (I still owe you a much longer message.
