1) The majority if not all of the early Christian community had a strong moral bent, primarily because of Jesus' teachings. They wouldl then likely not have deceived their fellow Christians by taking the body etc. etc

You make some good points concerning the appearing/disappearing thing -- an element of the accounts I'd not even considered.
I guess my allusion to "fake wounds" referred to the potential to "fake" the blood/etc., though, I guess it wasn't modern-day Hollywood...
In regard to the women, one could argue that the women being the first to see Him resurrected would've been only logical in that they would've been the only ones at that time taking care of the body(?). It is interesting that Jesus apparently chastises His disciples for NOT believing the women.
