Sherlock for Christmas

Anyone else getting a squee on for the new Sherlock Holmes movie? It comes out on Christmas Day. I've been an on-again, off-again fan of Robert Downey Jr, but I must say he's looking in good form here.... his acting, of course I'm referring to his acting... :)

Oh, yes - I'm looking forward to it!

As for Robert Downey Jr - it was when I went to see Iron Man (I love lame action movies) that I suddenly thought, "When did he turn into sex on a stick?" RAWR!

It's funny that you should reply just now - I'm in the middle of your squickfic, hands over my eyes, peeking between my fingers to read! :D

YES. I want to see this VERY BADLY.

I think he's always been a good actor. He just has some ridiculous behavior.

**Bounces** I can't wait! This is JUST the sort of movie I'd go see on Christmas, too.

Yep, the behavior part put me off any interest in him for quite a while... but how long has that been? It seems like 10 years or more since he was in the press for stupid stuff. He is a phenomenal actor, imho. :D

I have a hard time seeing him in that role, but for me it is defined by Jeremy Brett. Who could have made a wonderful Snape, too (if not for the being too old and dead aspects).

I always loved Basil Rathbone, makes me reminiscent of Saturday afternoon old movies growing up. Rathbone has that same dead problem as Brett, unfortunately. Definitely a hindrance to role offers. :)

Yes! I can't wait! For some reason, I thought it was supposed to come out in October, and then when I realized last month that it wasn't coming out... major bummer, dude.

The trailer makes me freak out, man!

Ooooh, good idea - I'll see if I can embed that awesome trailer. If not, a link is in order. It's definitely a modern look at old London! :)

i've always been a fan of his acting and am really looking forward to this movie. i think he's been doing some kind of martial abs - i mean, arts training. ;)
