I'm pretty sure it was magic! Honestly, I really don't know - I don't know for html code at all. But I did just change the design of my journal. I also did what you said - posted it on my LJ profile, just to see. It worked right there, so I just copied the code from there and pasted it into a post. And wa-la, a purty coat with patches on it. ;-)

Thanks! I only got started on this in July, so I've got a lot of reading to catch up on! :)
And seriously, whoever thought of the whole robe/patches idea is a genius!
