Right? This is why I'm so sad that we missed the great old intellectual battles of Vidal and Buckley and all of them. I hated that horrible son of bitch Buckley, but I at least respected the fact that (a) I could never take him in a debate if I studied for a year and (b) he was having a great time doing what he does best. It's so much more enthralling than watching some asshole on basic cable shouting, "MCCAIN POW FIVE AND A HALF YEARS, ALAN!" "BUSH IS SATAN!" "NO, HUSSEIN OBAMA IS SATAN!" "DRILL BABY DRILL!!"
