Squeefest 2008.
Got to the Red Bull SoapBox Derby in Vancouver way early, like 3 hours early, but hey, you do what you've got to do. Heeeeee!
I have a feeling many sentences in this post will end with, Heeeeee!
Met up with the lovely Laura from the TWoP boards and we proceeded with our mission, which was Jensen and Jared, obviously.
They arrived shortly after 1:00pm and let's just get this out of the way now, yes, Jensen Ackles is even more gorgeous in person, I know, I know, cliche, but so damn true. He has the softest looking, most tanned skin, oh and a breathtaking smile, ahem.....
While we're on the subject, my television screen has done an awful job of preparing me for Jared Padalecki in person, holy crap! That boy is attractive! And the dimples! Oh and he was all sorts of Texan in his interview! Heeeeeeeeee!
They were their usual charming selves when they noticed the girls behind us had a big sign that said "We Love You Jensen and Jared", laughing, and waving at them.
Oh Oh, and Jensen was totally chowing down on some barbeque and all I could think was "Ohhh Dean!" Heeee!
The boys proceeded to the pit area to get ready for their "race". Jared was so adorabley excited while Jensen looked a wee bit nervous, even asking the guy where the brake was and giving his car the once over, Heeeeee.
The host interviewed Jared and asked him if he was nervous about his competition to which he replied "Who, Jensen?! No, he's a wiener". Jensen's response "Nice choice of words, Jared." Heeeeee boys!
Then we're off, poor Jensen looked sort of petrified at first, but then he got into it, unfortunately it was too late and Jared had smoked him down the hill. Aww, Better luck next time Jensen, but wait, he tries to do some sort of crazy maneuver with the car and...........ends up crashing into the hay bail barricade, don't worry he's fine, Big Damn Hero!
During this we are running (literally, not figuratively) down the hill towards the bottom of the course, we'd heard there would be some sort of meet and greet down there (turns out to be a big fat lie) but all is not lost, many cute photos are obtained and we got to see Jared dork out when another car crashed "Duuuuude, did you see the crash?" then he takes off running towards it, in a "wayyyy cool" way not, "oh no" way, Heeeeeeee! Jensen just kind of giggled and shook his head, Heeeeee!
Oh, I should add that for his win Jared was awarded $1000 for St. Jude Children's hospital and for Jensen's loss (Heeeeee!) he was awarded $500 for Doctors Without Borders.
