I don't understand why people set the table when they know everything is going to be moved after grace is said and food set out.
I don't understand why I should make my bed; I know that in 18 hours I'll be back again, sending the too-tightly-tucked-in sheets into disarray with my tossing and turning and fuming and dancing.

scattered thoughts are what I live for. ilove2b_random August 20 2007, 04:41:04 UTC
I thought it was pretty clear, no apology needed :)

I've never been one to make my bed
or set tables
or doll much of anything up (other than myself :p)
So, I think I understand where you're coming from.
I've always kind of thought people who use so much effort making things appear spectacular are compensating for something.
Like lack of confidence
or personality
or productivity.
But maybe that's just me.
I enjoy your comment on surprises and cheating boys and angry girls.
Hopefully you'll get to reflect on darling boys and lovestruck girls soon.

I often wonder what brings you to make these amazing observations of the world, are you simply bored or are people mean to you, or a combination? Anyways whatever causes them they are always so imaginative and well thought out, WRITE A BOOK and rub it in Joseph Conrad's face!

Actually, in this case someone was mean to my best friend.
Thank youuuuu .. I would love to write a book someday or be like Carrie Bradshaw and write a column but then I think people would have to be mean to me and my friends all the time, which would be unfortunate. Maybe I should start writing about happy things. And unmean people. Wow I never even realized how much I write about mean people until just this moment!!!!

Thank you Aidan!

I would love to rub ANYTHING in Joseph Conrad's face .. especially poop .. still working on Heart of Darkness I presume?

So it is about mean people, well there loss. Keep writing about whatever you feel even if it is mean people they deserve it for being mean in the first place! But then again happy things are always fun too :)

And no I finished the book but now I actually have to take notes on it or write an essay or something.

"Life is life," he said. Yes, life is life. Life is everything.
Life is ______.
You can fill in that blank with ANYTHING, which is marvelous and exciting and terrifying.
Life is life and anything can happen.
We happened, they happened.
People leave, I'll stay (right where you left me).
I'll figure it out, because ... that's life!

This. You're incorporating many philosophical ideas here, even though you may not see them. When you're able to understand something, not as people tell it to you, but for yourself, you will understand all.
