Knackered!

(little sigh) Am currently feeling very tired and stressed - so what's new? Spent 4 hours in the library this evening, but only got through about 5 pages of reading because I was thinking about everything other than Italian neo-realism in Berlin - Ecke Schönhauser. the 'i have been looking at this for a precious 4 hours of my life that i will never have back again, and i still have no idea what it says' feeling has got to be one of the worst. my concentration span has plummeted, i hope it wasn't overexposure to pacman/puzzle bobble.

also, i have decided that being nice is overrated, i am being a lot more me-focussed than worrying about other people this term and i appear to have gained a lot of respect for it, which is quite cool. i didn't see the programme, how did they define 'nice'? it is a weird word.

Howdie!

Well whoever they had doing that bit noted that, as it has about 20 gazillion meanings, you shouldn't use the word at all and use words like precious and pleasant instead. I'm sorry, but 'preeeccious' really doesn't work for me :o)

I shouldn't think it was pacman/puzzle bobble - a general student trait I would suggest. Just rather annoying when about 20 chapters of reading and note-making to do each week. Ho hum!

And congrats on your new found respect :o)

i can't help thinking that pleasant is almost as bad, the kind of word some people would use to describe 'hint of magnolia' paint.

and thank you!

I can't believe you've said such a thing.

Quite aside from all the arguements about how pants 'nice' is as a word...you're a great person! Who/what is suggesting otherwise?

What made you ask that question?
