A new obsession: Pandora , most certainly not new to most of you, but I'm having a ball finding new bands and taking fun music trips.

Some things about New Orleans (not uplifting): Poppy Z Brite's take on the state of NO (it's not off even a little bit) I spent about an hour this morning, reading backwards in her journal, and consider it time

Glad to see you back amongst us, and with eggplant recipes, no less! Very cool. I concocted a lovely shrimp-and-eggplant casserole (vaguely based on a recipe in the first River Roads cookbook) just the other day - you'd have loved it.

SOOOOO glad to see you back with us, and yes, isn't Poppy's journal a delight? And if you haven't yet, you really need to get Liquor and Prime and read! I'm just crazy about Ricky and G-Man.

I have been oh-so-slowly going back person by person and trying to catch up on everyone's lives, but I'm not getting very far, very fast. I added the liquor books to my "to buy" list right after I discovered her blog -- definitely sounds like they're right up my alley!
