I've just finished the second draft of the new novel, Medium Dead, the first (hopefully) in a new urban fantasy series.

I am. The time's not a problem. It is holiday season and most people's schedules are affected.

Working around the weather at the moment (alternating snow, ice and mud) to complete our winter tasks: fell and cut ten tons of wood, expand vegetable garden, cut and replant 50 metres of mature hedge and sheep fence it.

Then we've got our finances to sort out - being dependent on savings in this financial climate is far from good:)

As for animals, don't ask. Gypsy, our 14 year-old lurcher had a stroke on Christmas Eve - total loss of balance, confusion, inability to control limbs, continual eye flicker - we didn't think she'd see Christmas. She's now recovering well and can walk in a straight line but it's been a traumatic month.

What a wonderful idea. I should try this with some of my own work - always on the look out for new readers. ;)
