The soft warm days of our Indian Summer have finally come to an end. A winter High has slipped in - as sneaky winter Highs are wont to do - and brought with it sharp cloudless days and frosty star-filled nights. If only my telescope still worked ( Read more... )

And, like all vines, they're very fast growing. Ours are now pruned twice a year to slow them down and stop them pushing over the fence and capturing napping sheep:)

One of the reasons we went to a 'pick your own' farm when we were living in the Sud was to see what a kiwi plant looked like. And were very impressed - three metre high arched tunnels covered with vines. And bunches of huge kiwis dangling everywhere.
