My weekend

What did I do this weekend just past? I visited my dear friend Katie and her baby Sophie up at Port Stephens. We went for a sail in her cousin's boat on Saturday (fantastic! Did I even ask to talk about baby poo? (Mind you... I could tell a story or two...)

Actually, I copped a wee bit of baby vomit during this morning's farewell cuddle. Just her way of saying goodbye, I guess. :)

You are going to make a great dade, or failing that, a great uncle (honory or other wise).

About boats. I come from a boating family. Boats are fun. They are also expensive. You have to clean them and paint them and look after them (there's a reason they are always called "she"). As my father (owner of many boats) is wont to state "Boats are black holes in the water you throw money into".

Having said that: I'd like either a sea kayak (I like paddling) or a tin lizzie.

Yes, I know boats are money pits... but such fun! Anyway, not likely I'd ever buy one. I could see having a small boat or kayak if I lived near the water though.
