I have to admit that I've really never thought about making a nonnarrative short film, although I suppose one could argue that Youth is a narrative film. Nonetheless this is an awesome film and I wish I had been this talented when I was 16.

I have to agree that Youth is a GREAT film. It really captures the spirit and essence of what it means to be a young adult in our modern society. In my opinion it offers a true sense of hope. In an increasingly shrinking global society where it seems that the only news is bad news, it is a fresh reminder that our youth, not just in the USA where this is set, but also globally still have a very important job to do - enjoy their youth and work toward becoming an adult. I love the film's ONLY line "Don't waste your youth growing up." What a poignant reminder that we are often forcing today's youth to "grow up". Life moves too quickly as it is, for a change let's allow them to enjoy being young. They will have plenty of time to grow up later.
