[If B Sanders had won the nomination over the Hillary Machine it might indeed have been 1972 all over again - just as the Republicans are saying they won't back Trump, so the Old Guard Machine Democrats refused to support or close ranks behind McGovern, the hippie / radical candidate. They literally preferred a Nixon victory - he was one of them, from their world. They got their wish. Not until 1984 would the American people more thoroughly repudiate the Left and its coercive destructive agenda than they did in 1972.]

In any event, had Sanders won, the Democrats would have rallied behind him. The guy who's having the problem with the "Old Guard Machine" is Trump.
