Why are all these people suddenly mobilizing now, to protest government irresponsibility? It's not like the all of these problems suddenly started on November 4th.

The other thing I saw was that oft quoted statistic that 10% of the population pays 75% of the income taxes (or something like that). Sounds unfair doesn't it? The only thing unfair here is the abuse of statistics. This statistic makes perfect sense if this 10% owns three quarters of the wealth. Barring complete economic equality, you'd still end up with this statistic even under a flat tax scheme. The only way to get a 10% pays 10% of taxes is a poll tax, which I'm pretty sure only a handful of "Randroids" would think is a good idea.

Don't confuse a nut with logic; it's just like trying to teach a pig to sing.

Although in their defense, some of these folks were against the Bush deficits. They were just (massively) less vocal.

I was aware many of these people weren't fans of Bush's fiscal policy profligacy, but why were they so quiet then? I mean at least Obama's massive deficit spending isn't going to fund major military operations of questionable value. Unless these people think socialism is worse than a war.
