Hey this is a great article! You've done a brilliant job, and while, no i don't understand what it's like i understand that it could be very frustrating to know you are being talked about. Midget is the wrong word and people are ignorant.

This makes me think of actress Meredith Eaton, and how awesome and beautiful she is! You've done a great job here, It's a great column.

Thank you! I know it's not always easy to relate to in this world... but I think it's just really sad that there is still that amount of misunderstanding. I hardly notice, and so it really is funny to be told about things AFTER the injustice has been done. It just rolls off my shoulder...

Thank you for your encouraging words!

Some people just haven't got anything better to do.
And I have to admit on this account,I never judged you at all for your size or height.
Your just like the rest of us,a little more unique though. ;)
One of my friends who's in her 40's saw a picture of you ( I showed her because I took a great like to you),and for some reason it was a crime to like someone of your size? (she laughed at me)
I ended up nearly slapping her one, because she became offensive, and I didn't like it one bit.
My mum never judged you at all.
As a matter of fact, most of my family never criticize someone who's smaller.
So yes leaving things unanswered with a kid isn't good also.
Now days if someone ever becomes insulting with you and their confronting me,I usually knock their heads off LOL.
Like I say "Your a nice person, and you're geniune. With a heck of a lot to give to people."More then what others can offer.
And lets face it,you're damn good looking. *big grin*

lol you make me smile girl!

most people don't have a problem with it, and are curious, cause it's not really everyday that you meet a real dwarf. And most of my policemen buddies just say that they never noticed, just thought i was short. Observant, eh? lol

I have lived with it for 26 yrs, and it's just ME. I can't change it (without lots of pain) and why would I? I was made like this, and everyone is wonderfully made - and is perfect how they are made.

I don't know if i would say i'm "damn good looking" but I will try to live up to that! *huggles you*

I remember when this happened, it made me smile that people can be some narrow minded but then I realised that people ARE narrow minded. And in this day & age too.

Loved the piece though, made me chuckle too...

what else is there to do? I am not gonna wallow in the fact, and people seem to laugh with me harder when I am the one calling myself short, or un-tall - their personal fav i say!

lol!!! Any time! I am always amazed how people can be so... bold? to be gawking like they do. Maybe we should go around and gawk at really tall people!! I swear the air is thinner up there and that's why there are so many ignorant tall people (minus out tall friends who have realized we are normal... well. as normal as we can be! *wink*)

I love sticking up for the little person - not gonna grow anymore at 26!!

Awesome article!! Even though I can't totally relate (though stupid kids laughed at me for being short way back in elementary school) I agree it's amazing that people still do things like that in this day and age. Gotta admit I was kinda like your policeman friends when I met ya in person - didn't notice and just figured you were very short.

But hey you're an all around great person and it's the person inside that counts! And yeah I'd say gawking/commenting at the really tall people aint a bad idea, lol!

*hugs* Hope your article receives all the accolades it deserves! :)

*hugs* thanks! It has been amazing how everyone have been coming up and just been saying they love it. Hehe ya it's been interesting when I get to meet people in person. Usually ya'll know me, so it's not to much of a "shock" but still interesting!

*blush* thanks! Ya sometimes it just makes you wonder why we haven't gotten further along in accepting people... oh well.

:-D
