So... my parents are going to celebrate their 40th anniversary next year, and as a family we are planning to vacation together. I think the last time we did this was in 2010 when we went to Connecticut to celebrate Grandma's 90th birthday. And I think that's also when

Woo-hoo for your parents' 40th! That's awesome. You guys have a great time! Oh so jealous, I would love to visit England & Stonehenge in particular... Ireland and Scotland too for the family roots thing, and even Wales 'cause it looks so pretty too. Mmmm, so many pipe dreams.

I was bummed my cousins don't have time around July/Aug to spend a week in Spain, or somewhere else, but I do have money from last England trip, so that's nice. If I could pack big suitcases!!! I am really glad to be going back overseas, but as always, the time never is there to just stay and travel without cares....

Oh hey and I don't know if this could be interesting, or creepy, or both.. But I've been going through Ancestry.com (got one of those trial membership thingies & it exploded from there), and could we have a very distant relative thing going on?? My grandma's mom was born here in NY, but both her parents came from Germany. Her mom's last name was KERN. I kid you not. Seeing how these things are not always accurate - I could be totally wrong - but if not, kinda cool I think. :)

At this point we didn't really come to a defiant thing. Mom and I were up at midnight and we were looking at the prices to fly to Germany and England - let's just say I will be skipping a 10 week course in grad class, and paying a higher *HIGHER* bill instead.

Now you have to give me ideas on where to go on vacation by myself, since the others already made plans without me :D
