Do I know where my characters are? Well, last night I left them facing a zombie horde, but today I finished that, and now they're facing off against something else... Well, one of them is.

As far as cheering sections go, only one person in my real life seems to care that I'm doing Nano, but then she also told me that as long as I was writing original fic, she didn't care how much I was doing. :P

Fics can be pets. I already decided that mine are my children, lol. :)

Hehe! Zombies! I love the brain eating... yum!

Boo. I say it shouldn't matter what kind you do. But I do understand the original fiction, since it usually appeals to more audiences. Is she at least waiting for December 1st to read it? That usually helps spur on the muse... or send more zombies!

Are you back NaNoing, or did the evil pygmies send more fic to distract?

Ah yes, the children. They do seem to bring out the "don't say anything bad about my fic" attitudes (claws) out. I have a few fics buried I go back to and look at, pluck at to make better, hoping someday they will blossom and I can send them to work and they can make me money... I'm still waiting.

Yeah, most of that was fun, with the zombies. The end got sad on me, though.

I find that it's easier to access an audience for a fanfic than it is an original fic, but she's one of those people that doesn't understand fanfic, and she was telling me she didn't care if I wrote the Nano one that I'd been sharing with her or the other one that I've gone back to. I have been posting each scene to a blog that she can read so that she sees it, though.

Today I alternated back and forth between Nano and the other story, with a touch of fanfic in between. It depends on the day, really. I have to admit, the non-Nano original story (currently All the Men in My Life but it was In the Family before I finished it) keeps taking precedence. I'm not sure why that is, but they should all be publishable (other than the fanfic) and that makes it okay by me.

The babies, really. I had a hard time taking criticisms about Just a Whim before I published it, but I did let it out into the world, and while it hasn't been overwhelming loved and adored like I ( ... )
