Isis doesn't have this problem. She's my nice fuzzy one who doesn't cuddle, so she has issues there, but isn't inclined to chew. Aset is just... She's almost 2 years old, so it's not baby behaviour anymore, but I want her to be frisky and fun, but sheesh... I now have to buy a new airmatress. And I don't want to have to store it (mainly cause my house has NO closet space so where do I store it?) ... she'd even nibbled on some of my expensive shoes... *pets the kitty* she has issues.
Maybe we dropped her when we raised her and forgot about it.

Mal sends greetings and salutations to a fellow inductee into the Evil Cat Overlord Association.
People are always telling me to use a Bitter Apple Spray (you can get it at the pet store). It seems, technically, to be used on their fur to prevent them from chewing at themselves, but apparently works well to prevent them from chewing on other things as well. I haven't tried it yet, but it probably works, if you're willing to spray it on everything you own.

ECOA seems to be growing. I think we, as the Mega-Overlords of Evil Cats (Supreme Chapter), must put a stop to this rampid and obviously devistating turn of events.
I have heard that... somewhere. I guess I may look into it. I don't mind the slow and certian demise of cardboard boxes, since I can get new ones, but the whole chew on anything but the mousie at times... I'm just saying she should be glad she's too damn cute.
you had some words with my nibbler? Was it in German? Does she speaky the German? Maybe it's a simple language barrier... Perhaps meowing at her isn't a common tongue. I'd ask Isis, but she's usually disinterested in talking about things. Her topics are food, love, what I have in my hand, and "I woke up, so now let's pet me"
I was talking about my cat (whom I speak German to, of course!) *g* I only told Aset to quit it about 2 times - German as well but I think she was just generally scared of me LOL
Okay, so my cat is not a chewer, but I did have some dogs who chewed...on everything. I did use bitter apple, and that worked for some of them...also lemon juice works. For the one who wouldn't stop chewing, I used non stick spray and sprinkled pepper over it. That stopped it quickly. Also, I've whipped out the disappointed mommy voice on occasion...that really works.
It does! Already she has chewed on the cardboard box... and I am inclined to let her do that, but I am worried if I let her do that and tell her no on things like, say , my NEW air mattress, she will not understand that ONLY cardboard is ok.
I did tell her that if she dos something to this mattress she will become an ugly hairless cat. I hate hairless cats. Ya she just coward a bit and sniffed the box.

I have no advice as our cat does not do this, it would get a right telling off if he did!!
Good luck hope you can get it sorted
