Do you know of any good...
- places to stay on the Oregon coast? Friends, hostels, hotels? Fairly cheap? Around Christmastime?
- low income-friendly psychiatrists or other med-friendly doctor-types in Portland?
- low-income friendly therapists who serve males?

lists, questions

Astoria has a hostel:

It's not the greatest. A tad sketch, but it will keep you warm and dry.

Is in Seaside. Don't know much about it or if it still exists.
There are cheap hotels all over the place in astoria and seaside, gets more expensive when you go down the coast. Newport, however, may have cheap places.

Have you looked into OutsideIn?
You also might be able to ask SMYRC for refferal to resources as well. There is free therapy at smyrc but it's queer oriented.
Also in the WW and stuff there are usually classifieds for therapy and stuff that offer sliding scale.

Good luck!

The OHP is accepting applications, but supposedly hasn't been giving out insurance except by lottery for years. And yeah - I think he would.

I checked OI a month or two ago and they are completely full, actually, and not taking anyone new for meds, unless you go in with a physical need first. I've considered this, but need to find some sort of physical ailment...
