I don't suppose anyone out there lives in Portugal and/or speaks Portugese and would be willing to help me hunt someone down? I need a phone number for a colleague in Faro, but my Portugese (por favor, desculpe, obrigado) is insufficient to navigate the university phone system.

Hmm, the only assistance I can offer is link you to tokyo-pt, who is Portuguese (but currently lives in Belgium). I haven't seen her around for a while, but you could always ask her?

Thank you! I'll try to get in touch with her. At the very least, maybe she can tell me how to ask, "Do you speak English?" in Portuguese (which I someday learn how to spell properly. Good thing I'm not e-mailing them).
