this is my 15th tutorial (:D), but my first on chouetteicons.

How to go from
to

using PS CS3, I think its translatable.
PSD UP!



1) Open up your ready base. I don't suggest dark screencaps unless you have lightened them already. Duplicate your base and set to Screen at 57% opacity.

2) New Fill Layer > Solid Colour. #291e15 - Hard Light at 53% opacity.

3) New Brightness/Contrast Layer.
B: +74
C: +20

4) New Curves Layer.

5) New Fill Layer > Solid Colour. #2e0c0c - Exclusion at 100% opacity.

6) New Channel Mixer Layer.

[Blue = Default Settings]

7) New Levels Layer.
RGB
I: 21 | 1.08 | 230

8) New Colour Balance Layer.
M: +15 | -13 | +26
S: -21 | +10 | +20
H: +18 | -6 | +88
