[Just when they were doing so well, and then Luke has to fuck it up again. He hates himself so much sometimes.]

And just what-- [He retracts the device and crosses his hands over his chest.] --gave you THAT idea!?

[He sighs in exasperation.] There are a lot of people who feel trapped in a place like this, and they just want to go home. You said it yourself--there might be a way beyond that barrier.

I don't know if YOU'RE planning on going home through that, but FINE. Do whatever you want!

[Yeah, he knows he screwed up. And he takes all the anger Asch bestows on him without complaining. Hearing his original recite Luke's thoughts makes him look up, and there's something brewing behind that gaze, something...]
