"I guess no one's here," Buffy said to Giles after she had rather reluctantly lead him back to their new humble abode. She offered her ex-watcher a glass of water, as she heard a car rumble up the driveway. She was glad for another body because the silence between them and awkwardness was continually growing. And thankfully, and rather suddenly, Xander burst through the door, yelling for her.

She came out of the kitchen, moving down the hallway to almost bump into him, and stared at him completely dumbfounded for a moment. "Uhm, chill out, Xand," she said, rather calmly, despite his cause for panic. With Xander, she could never tell if panic mode meant world in peril or the new comic issue he reserved was actually all out of copies. But, since he was seeking her out specifically, she had a feeling it was more towards world in danger.

"What's wrong?" she asked, folding her arms and looking up at him with relaxed, but worried eyes.

Giles knew that he felt every bit as uncomfortable as Buffy did. Maybe even more so because of the fact that he was in an unfamiliar home right now. She was at least in familiar territory. He had taken the glass of water, but felt relieved when he heard someone pull up in the driveway.

He had hung back a little when he first heard Xander come into the home. He hated the fact that he now felt so uncomfortable around people that, once upon a time, had been the only people that he felt completely at ease with. It actually hurt to feel this way.

Still, he finally came out behind Buffy to see him, seeing that something was already wrong, and he had only just gotten here. He felt the instinct to ask what was going on, but realized that, unless it involved Dawn right now, it was really none of his business. Something else that really hurt him.

Xander saw Buffy and rushed up to her then stopped himself. Do not make her panic. Do NOT make her panic. It was a simple fix. Willow would fix it all.

"Nothing's WRONG," he began, gesturing with his hands then deciding to stick them into his pockets. "I mean, nothing WRONG-ER... uh, was that even English?" He began to go on when he spotted a familiar figure appearing from what seemed like nowhere.

"Giles?" Xander blinked his one good eye. "Uh, wow, you... are here. Here in America." He glanced over at Buffy. "Do they grow Giles' here, too?" he joked, though his single eye was really asking Buffy what the hell was he doing here. Not that he wasn't happy to see the Englishman. But he knew there was a little bad blood between Buffy and Giles ever since he paired up with Faith.

"It's great to see you, G-Man!"

Buffy eyed Xander expectantly, "Xander!" She wanted to bring him back to Earth and just say what was wrong. "Spill." Of course, he was distracted once again as her ex-watcher appeared behind her.

She felt her foot tapping on the floor at his joke, knowing the thoughts turning in her best friend's head. He was probably wondering why she and Giles were speaking, much less why she had invited them back to their home. "Yes, Giles is here. I thought he might be able to help Willow out with the whole giant Dawn thing," she said.

She cleared her throat, reminding Xander that he still hadn't told her what was up, "So?"

“I think she was wondering if Willow was trying to change her back to normal when it happened,” Giles pointed out to Xander. “It’s possible that the spell might have some sort of ‘booby trap’ on it if someone tries to tamper with it.” That didn’t seem to be the case, though. No, she had just transformed on her own, as if the spell had some sort of timer on it to turn her into something else at a certain time. Certainly something to consider when researching what to do about this ( ... )

Xander winced at his lame joke about the horse trailer that did not go over well with either of them. It was kind of weird to see both Giles and Buffy side by side, giving him that patent look that he usually got from them when he said something of the stupid, such as the horse trailer comment.

Xander was already at the place where they kept the keys to the various cars they had at hand. He grabbed the one for the van and clutched it. "Got the keys! And yeah, G-Man, why not come along? You can assess the sitch and I bet Willow will be glad to see you, too.

He opened the front door to lead them out the front door when he nearly ran into a familiar face about to knock on the door. He blinked. "Uh, F-Faith..."

Faith had ventured out from main part of Bon Temps to make her way to the current HQ of the Scooby Team. Boy, this wasn't at all going to be awkward. But she had to face it all. In ways, she was part of this team. At least, on the same side as Buffy's group. But at the same time, she was never a part of this group. And now running around with Giles, it made her even more of an outcast, if Buffy had the say so about it.

Giles had let her know to meet him here in this mansion as there was a slight emergency, and also, they could possibly help them in the search for this runaway Slayer.

She got to the front porch and lifted her first to knock on the door when it opened. A surprised Xander looked back at her, jaw dropped slightly. They had to know if Giles was here, she had to be nearby.

"Hey, there, stud," she said with a smirk. "Heard there was a party here, had to check it out."

Buffy paused at Giles' question, pursing her lips for a moment, "Yeah, I think you should come," she said, glancing at Xander. She knew things were strained between all of them, mostly between herself and Giles, but she knew Dawn would like to see him, as well as Willow. So, personal issues aside, she knew Giles could help in more ways than she could right now.

As they headed to the door, her brow went upward as Xander said "Faith." She came around the corner to hear the not-so-welcomed voice greet her best friend. She paused in mid-step, jaw immediately clenching. "Faith," she said, eyes narrowing in reflex. She glanced at Giles, figuring he had called to tell her to come, "Did you tell her where we were?" she murmured to her former Watcher.

Folding her arms, she looked to Faith and said, "What are you doing here?" Her tone wasn't meant to be accusatory, but she hadn't heard from the other Slayer in a few months--mostly because she'd been with Giles--so to see her pop up on her doorstep was a little unnerving.
