I'm really looking forward to the party! I don't see why some people are so unenthusiastic about it, really.

It seems as if everyone is going for their costumes, so I suppose I should look before there is nothing left. I don't know what costume I want, but maybe if I go and look I'll get some ideas.

I agree, the lights are rather disturbing, but they aren't as bad if you're with someone else.
