Firstly, the brig is apparently in an area of the ship inaccessible to passengers.

Secondly, considering Erol is the one being held in it right now, I highly doubt you want to go down there.

What's so important about what's essentially a ship's prison?

I suppose you could ask the crew or the captain, but I don't think they'll be very helpful.
