Lilith is one of the few "traditional" entities I work with, and this is really evocative of elements of my experiences over the years..the opening especially reminds me of dreams I have where I approach her cave out in the middle of a vast desert.
This was an intense experience for me. I was working with Lilith for a lot of my twenties and this came out of another realm. I did tweak the sound quite a bit because what was most audible was a wall of high frequency white noise. A lot of the sounds that come through here were retrieved by isolating frequencies and saving narrow ranges of frequencies as separate tracks.
It seems that what I heard through the noise was actually there. Even a moment or two of keyboards, which were all that I could recognize from the original music even though they were way behind guitars in the mix.
I remember you had some very interesting post on Irreality about Lilith. Did you happen to cross post those anywhere? I'm feeling compelled to revisit the idea of the Lilith album after we finish Controlled Substance and I'll be looking to add as much narrative, experience and scholarship to my own experiences, which were very visceral.
That would be very cool. From what I remember, what you wrote squares very much with and complements my own experiences. I'm hearing a lot of heavy guitars in my mind's ear for the album, but one never knows what'll happen as I open up myself to Her.
If you could link to http://www.veilofthorns.com that would be cool. I'll be putting a link to yours. If you have a banner I could use that would be cool, and if you have a 150px wide one, I'm going to be putting favorites and associates on every page of the site.

Era Vulgaris is there, along with Magog Agog, and I'd be interested to get your take on Panic Pandemic...
There's also a mess of Veil of Thorns, if you'd like something Goff. I'd recommend starting with Cognitive Dissonance and Birthed, if you are.
(Ask, and I'll come across with more than is decent...)
Share as you like, if you know someone who may get into the music.
