[ Kakuzu is making his way to the principal's office, reporting for duty. It's his first day here and he has, unfortunately, taken one too many wrong turns, circling the place for a good twenty minutes already. ]

[ He really should have stopped and asked for directions.... ]

[Konan makes her way out of the Library, after seeing an unfamiliar man walk past the door for a third time now. Perhaps he was looking for someone?]

...Excuse me sir.. Are you looking for somebody?

I... was looking for a Hatake Kakashi. The principal?

[ A pause, and then, realizing he was being rude, extends his hand for a handshake. ] I'm Kakuzu. I'm starting work here... Administration. Finance... [ Awkwardly waits for Konan to accept his handshake. He's not too good with his social skills... ]

[She pauses a moment, before reaching out to lightly shake his hand.] Nice to meet you [She offers a quick half-bow] i am Konan.. I run the Library here.

Yes, please. [ He's going to pretend he never willingly asked for directions from a woman, but is just kindly taking you up on your offer to show him where the principal's office is ]

[ Nods ] You're the librarian? [ He'd be lurking in there soon enough, devouring all the classics the library's got there ]

[Has been cleaning out her locker this whole time, and can't help but notice he's walked past this particular spot at least seven times already.]

*on his way to the staff room to drop off cookies that he made, and spots Kakuzu. Pauses, thinks. Hasn't he seen this man before in another hallway?*

Hey! Are you the new guy Kakashi mentioned? Would you like a pumpkin cookie?

Yes, I suppose I am.

[ Looks suspiciously at Obito, and then... ] Are those free...?

[laughs] Yeah, they are. I don't flatter myself enough to sell them. Just trying to generate interest in the cooking classes I teach. With all the students forgetting that they have it on their schedules and all......

Anyway, the only price you pay is in calories. I'd like to think these are worth it, though.

[ Looks at him curiously, interested. ]

So you teach... the culinary arts?

[ He'd never really come across a school that taught that, unless it was one of those special ones made just for hospitality courses. ]

Guess I'll have one of those then.

Hatake Kakashi? [ Walks over to him and extends his hand for a handshake. ] I'm Kakuzu.

[ He looks around and then shrugs. ] If you would like to brief me on the current financial situation of the school, what needs looking into, what needs to be left alone... [ His briefcase is laid out on the table already ] I'd like to get started right away. [ He clicks open the briefcase. ] Time is money after all.
